For many years private investigation and due diligence in Russia was a myth.

Numerous former policemen and fligth-by-night detective agencies were "proud" to offer “back door” information for a penny with no attention to reputation and code of ethic. Unfortunately, being proud of their “resources”, these companies determined the face of private investigator, background screening and due diligence in CIS for a last two decades.

There’s no need to remind public scandals and resignations when Russian and International companies were claimed for illegal use of private and business secrets. It is sad, but almost every backyard of these scandals was full of reliable and experienced professional investigators who had no idea that their innocent "everyday work" can lead to reputation loss or even bankruptcy of the client.

My mission is to show colleagues & clients from around the World that there is a chance of successful cooperation with local Russian Private Detectives in background screening and due diligence projects if both parties will respect the Law and follow best business practices.

In 2002 as a private investigator I started to carry out Business Reliability Index of Companies and Russian Entrepreneurs at moderate prices, thus creating competition to three largest rating agencies: Standard and Poor's, Moody's and Fitch. Before this foreign companies had not opportunities to receive well-grounded assessment of information about the small and medium size companies - potential of their partners; nowadays this service is available to them because our company will act as a low-cost rating agency.

My business model corresponds two basic tendencies. On the one hand, the fast growth of russian companies which is stimulated by the globalization of economy, on the other – the growing businesses complain of high levels of economic crimes and corruption. Owing to its expertise, our team is capable of supporting the commercial transactions in any part of the Russia.

The Krioni Corporation has everything necessary for such activity: licensing investigators, analysts, expertise in assessment and monitoring of the financial state of small and medium size companies and, in general, expertise in preparing business information about companies of 7 countries, quality and reasonable prices. Therefore with time Krioni is to become known as a rating agency as well.

The presence of my company is going to change the market of rating and investigation services, which has so far been exclusive, and rating will become more wide spread and in greater demand, an index of reliability of Russian companies and entrepreneurs.
